31 English books of different genre were added to our collection on the 3rd of February 2011. Hope these new collections will attract pupils to read.

Another PRC meeting

Today PRC committee have another meeting.  The meeting was about the reading sites.  The existing reading sites will be turned to information sites and there will only be one main reading site outside the library.

The reading site will have theme which will be changed monthly and activities will be carried out once a week during break time.

First meeting

On the 26th of January 2011, a meeting was held regarding PRC activities this year.  This year a new committee was formed and each member was assigned a site each.  Books will be allocated according to class levels and will be rotated once a month.  Home reading will be done once a week starting on the 11th of February 2011.  Both Malay and English reading materials will be distributed to the pupils alternately.  Home reading will be recorded in a log book, signed by both parents/ guardians and teachers.

First school term has just begun...

The first school term has just started.  PRC will continue to run in the classroom.  Every classroom have a reading corner for the pupils to read and every morning before learning began, five words with the meaning will be introduced by the teachers to the pupils.  Pupils are asked to write the words and the meaning in their note book.  Home reading will soon be implemented again.

Reading is the key to success. It opens doors to your future... read,read,read!
